The New Britain Public Library will highlight Sexual Assault Awareness Month this April with local author Roberta Dolan, a former special education teacher in New Britain. Roberta will share her experience of childhood sexual abuse and how she was able to not only survive but actually overcome the obstacles in her path toward recovery and the healing process.
Andy Weil, performance poet and comedian, will do a one hour workshop for seniors who are interested in developing their writing skills! All skill levels, from beginners to writing professionals, are welcome. Feel free to bring works in progress to share with a small group.
The book will be Behind the Beautiful Forevers, by Katherine Boo. New members always welcome. Copies available at Check Out Desk.
The book will be Stella Bain, by Anita Shreve. New members always welcome. Copies available at Check Out Desk.
