Connecticut residents are to obtain a library card from the public library of the town in which they live. This card can be used at almost all Connecticut public libraries including the New Britain Public Library. New Britain residents age 13 and above need to show identification. Proof of address is required for New Britain residents age 18 and above. New cards are free of charge. The charge for lost cards is $1.00.
