Easter Egg Hunt— Bring your Easter basket and search for eggs on the library lawn. Rain location: the Children’s Department. Find a golden egg and win a prize! For children 10 and under accompanied by an adult.

First Steps in Music—Mallory Kokus, of the University of Hartford, will lead children and parents in singing, dancing and instrument playing. For children 5 years and younger. No registration, everyone welcome.

Play

Story Walk: Thank You, Omu, by Oge Mora. Families are invited to follow the pages and listen to a story as they stroll through the library. Children will receive a craft-to-go, and each family can choose a book to take home to read together. Bonus: all participants can enter a drawing to win a bike. Can’t make it that day? The story walk will be available for self-guided reading through the following week.

Author’s Tea—Connecticut author, Iwona Ochab, will read her book, Frankie the Fox and Owen the Ox: A Friendship Story. Afterwards we will share tea and cookies. Ages 3-8, accompanied by an adult. No registration.
