General Information

The Friends of the New Britain Public Library will hold its regular meetings for calendar year 2009-2010 on the following dates: September 15, October 20, November 17, December 15, January 19, February 16, March 16, April 20, May 18, and June 22. There are no meetings in July and August. All meetings are held at 5:30 pm in the Board Room of the Main Library.

We are looking for more NBPL-lovers and supporters to join the Friends. New members and new ideas are particularly welcome. Please fill out an application if you are interested.

The Friends of the Library manage the every day book sale, located near the entrance to the periodical room in the Main Library. It's open during library hours and offers an interesting selection of fiction and non-fiction paperbacks ($.50 each) and hardcovers ($1.00 each). Music tapes and cds are $.50 each while books on tape are $1.00 each. DVDs are also $1.00 each.
