General Information

The Friends of the New Britain Public Library will hold its regular meetings for calendar year 2012-2013 on the following dates: September 18, October 16, November 20, December 18, January 15, February 19, March 21 (special date change), April 16, May 21, and June 18. There are no meetings in July and August. All meetings are held at 5:30 pm in the Board Room of the Main Library.

We are looking for more NBPL-lovers and supporters to join the Friends. New members and new ideas are particularly welcome. Please fill out an application if you are interested.

The Friends of the Library manage the every day book sale, located near the entrance to the periodical room in the Main Library. It's open during library hours and offers an interesting selection of fiction and non-fiction paperbacks ($.50 each except for trade paperbacks which are $1.00) and hardcovers ($1.50 each). Music tapes are $.50 while cds are $1.00 each. Books on tape are $2.00 each and books on cd are $3.00. DVDs are also $2.00 each while videos are $1.00 each.
