General Information

The Friends of the New Britain Public Library will hold its regular meetings for calendar year 2007-2008 on the following dates: September 18, October 16, November 20, December 18, January 15, February 19, March 18, April 15, May 20, and June 17. There are no meetings in July and August. All meetings are held at 5:30 pm in the Board Room of the Main Library.

We are looking for more NBPL-lovers and supporters to join the Friends. New members and new ideas are particularly welcome. Please fill out an application if you are interested.

The Friends of the Library manage the every day book sale, located near the entrance to the periodical room in the Main Library. It's open during library hours and offers an interesting selection of fiction and non-fiction paperbacks ($.50 each or 3 for $1.00) and hardcovers ($1.00 each or 3 for $2.00).

Currently, the Friends are accepting donations of books on cooking, crafts, and do-it-yourself projects.
